- Only original papers will be accepted, and copyright of the published papers will be vested in the publisher.
- The submitted manuscripts will be screened initially by the chief editors to determine their suitability.

English Language Editing
MAR emphasizes on the linguistic accuracy of every manuscript published. Thus, all authors are required to get their manuscripts edited by professional English language editors. Author(s) must confirm that their manuscripts have been adequately edited. A proof (in a form of certificate/ written statement) from recognised editing service provider should be submitted together during the submission to MAR. All costs will be borne by the author(s). This step, taken by authors before submission, will greatly facilitate reviewing, and thus publication if the content is acceptable.
Publication Ethics
Submission of an article implies that:

|
|

|
That its submission and publication in the journal is known and approved by all Authors. |

What you can expect next
An email will be sent to you, confirming your successful submission. It will provide you with a manuscript number, which will be used in all future correspondence about your submission. Kindly be informed that the whole process will take around three (3) to eight (8) months for a paper to be accepted for publication.
Post submission
Review and decision process
Each submission is checked by the editor. At this stage, the editor will choose to decline or unsubmit your manuscript if it doesn’t fit the journal aims and scope, or they feel the language/manuscript quality is too low.
If it might be suitable for the publication, the manuscript will be sent to at least two independent referees for double blind peer review. Once these reviewers have provided their feedback, the editor may decide to accept the manuscript, request minor or major revisions, or decline the manuscript.
During this period, the author may check the progress of the manuscript via the submission system. An email will be sent to the author once the decision is made for author’s revision. Once the manuscript is accepted, the author will also receive an email for final check before the manuscript can proceed with the copyediting.
Kindly be informed that the whole process will take around three (3) to eight (8) months for a paper to be accepted for publication. Due to high volume of submission, the editor will try to provide their first decision within three (3) months.

Proofing and typesetting
Once the manuscript has been accepted, authors are required to proceed with the payment process. Effective 1st August 2025, the Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts is MYR 1,300.
Following acceptance, the authors will receive the final manuscript for final review and confirmation. At this stage, authors are required to carefully check the manuscript for accuracy, including author names, affiliations, contact details, spelling, typographical errors, and grammatical errors. Authors are also responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and up to date. Any requests for amendments after this stage will no longer be accepted.
Once the authors provide their final consent, the manuscript will proceed directly to the production process. After the page proofs have been finalised, the proofed version will be published online. The manuscript will then be compiled into an issue according to the journal’s publication schedule, with papers arranged chronologically based on the publication date.
